Retreat Cottage

The church owns a beautiful cottage on Sugar Island that was generously donated by the Kennedy family.

This donation was made to provide the membership with a "retreat style" location for meetings and for short-term family use.

The cottage sits atop a bluff overlooking the beautiful St. Mary's River and the hills of Canada. The cottage is a very relaxing place and makes an ideal, inexpensive way to get to spend some quality time with family or friends on the waterfront.

So - come, sit on the wrap-around screened porch and take in the beauty of God's wonder!

​Cottage Information:

• The cottage is available Memorial Day through September 30. Reservations must be made through the church office.
• It is available to any of the church's members, groups, or organizations.
  • Youth Groups: There must be one adult present for every four youth. Parental release forms must be signed for each youth.
  • Church Members: A church member must be present with anyone using the cottage.
• Accommodations:
  • Five Bedrooms with Single Beds (new mattresses and box springs installed 7/27/16 but pictures are not updated to reflect this)
  • Two Bathrooms - One with a Tub / One with a Shower Stall
  • Living Area with Couch and Chairs / Fireplace
  • Dining Area with Table and Chairs
  • Screened Porch with Chairs
  • Kitchen with Stove /Refrigerator
• Usage Fees:
  • Overnight: $35 per night
  • Daily: $20 per day
  • (all fees must be paid no later than key pickup)
• Basic Supplies Provided:
  • Dishes / Silverware / Cookware
  • Paper Towels / Toilet Paper
  • Coffee Pot
  • Cleaning Supplies / Dish Soap
• You Will Need to Bring:
  • Bed / Bath Linens
  • Kitchen Linens
  • Food Supplies (all food brought to the cabin must be removed when leaving)
• ​​Trash must be removed from the premises and taken with you.
